I know I mentioned some other things I was going to work on and I've totally slacked. I've been going through these weird phases and I can't stick to one style of artwork. I've gone from watercolor to pencil sketching to flat gouaches. Maybe that means I'm versitile, maybe that means I haven't found my niche yet, or maybe I just don't want to have ONE style.
Anyway, I have a portrait I sketched of Cervantes from Soul Calibur that I plan on getting up here soon. Just need to finish some of the finer details. Then I will most likely put some color to it.
In the meantime, my artwork is kinda done at a whim while at work.
So I got a wacom tablet finally, but I haven't had much time to use it. Work has really been a time sink and when I get home I'm so burnt out that I have no inspiration to draw. I'm taking a half day today and I think I will start on a piece I've been meaning to do for a while called "Ye-Shen". Its from an old storybook that I loved as a kid, kind of the japanese / chinese version of cinderella.
Not sure what the ETA will be on that, but I can assure you with my lack of time it will be a while. :(
I also am going to be doing a couple of wooden caricatures depicting cookin' mama!
Stay tuned
